Hey folks, Todd at Freedom Fighter Tactical.
Today I’m going to talk quickly about the FFT Trigger Kit for the Benelli M4 shotgun. This kit comes in both MP3 and black finishes, and I’ve been selling these for about 16 or 17 years now. Honestly, I almost didn’t make a trigger kit—but I’m glad I did, because it’s turned into one of our best-selling products and is now installed on tens of thousands of shotguns.
Let’s break down what’s included.
This trigger kit consists of:
- A hammer
- A trigger
- A disconnector
- Four springs: hammer spring, disconnector spring, trigger spring, and carrier spring
The springs are made by Wolff, which I consider to be the best in the business. Our trigger components themselves have stood the test of time—while others have come and gone, we’ve consistently produced this kit since around 2010 or 2011.
This upgrade is designed to reduce your trigger pull weight by about 2 pounds on average. The result is a smoother, more refined trigger that feels closer to a rifle trigger. You’ll notice reduced or nearly eliminated creep, and when you apply pressure, you’ll get a clean, surprise break.
Now, I’ve never believed that a shotgun trigger needs to feel exactly like a rifle trigger—but if we can make it better and smoother, why not? That said, we’re not trying to make it too light. This is still a semi-automatic shotgun, so we aim to keep things safe and practical.
Factory Benelli M4 triggers typically range from about 8 to 9 pounds. With this kit, we’re dropping that by roughly 2 pounds, but we’re not bringing it down into unsafe territory. You’re not going to see sub-5-pound trigger pulls with this kit.
Installation is straightforward. Most people can do it themselves using the included instructions, and there are plenty of instructional videos available if you need guidance.
Another major benefit is 922(r) compliance. This trigger kit includes three compliance parts, which gets you very close—or even all the way—depending on your stock configuration. If you’re running a field stock or pistol grip stock, this kit alone may get you compliant.
At the end of the day, this is a proven, reliable upgrade that improves performance without compromising safety. It’s one of our most popular products for a reason.
Thanks for watching. I hope you have a great day, and I’ll talk to you soon. Stay safe.
