Today I'm holding both versions of the button that are included with the kit. In my right hand, I have the rectangular button, and in my left hand, I have the round button.

When you purchase one of these kits from Freedom Fighter Tactical, you're receiving a modified latch that has already been professionally drilled and prepared for installation. The kit also includes both oversized button options and the installation wrench needed to swap between them.

Before shipping, I install the rectangular button onto the latch assembly. I do this for a couple of important reasons.

First, I want to verify that the threads are absolutely correct and functioning properly. Over the years, I've maintained very strict quality control standards, and while thread issues are extremely rare, I occasionally reject parts during inspection. By pre-installing the button, I know the threads function correctly before the kit leaves my shop.

Second, I want customers to see the part fully assembled when they open the package. Seeing the assembled unit makes installation easier to understand and helps visualize how the finished product will look on the shotgun.

It's important to note that the kit includes one latch assembly, one rectangular button, one round button, and the installation wrench. You're not receiving two separate latch assemblies. I'm simply showing both button styles installed so you can see the differences.

Personally, I prefer the rectangular button. I think it offers a larger contact area and looks better on the side of the Benelli M4. However, many owners prefer the round button, especially those who own the Benelli M1014 models that feature the American flag engraving on the receiver. The round button allows more of that engraving to remain visible, while the rectangular button partially covers it.

That's one of the reasons I include both styles in every kit.

Instead of forcing customers to decide between a round button and a rectangular button before purchasing, I simply give you both. You can install one, use it for a while, and later switch to the other if your preferences change.
