Limbsaver Buttpad 10403 for Benelli M4 and M1014 Shotguns – Freedom Fighter Tactical May 2026 Update

In this May 2026 Freedom Fighter Tactical update, I discuss the Limbsaver Buttpad part number 10403 for the Benelli M4 and M1014 shotgun platform. I explain compatibility with both the Benelli 70085 collapsible stock and the 70132 stock design, installation hardware differences, recoil reduction benefits, and why I believe the Limbsaver recoil pad is one of the most important comfort upgrades for any serious Benelli M4 build. If you are building, upgrading, or customizing a Benelli M4 shotgun, this guide will help you understand fitment, installation, and why the Limbsaver remains one of the best recoil pads available for tactical shotguns.

MAY 18, 2026 Limbsaver Buttpad 10403 for Benelli M4 Shotguns at Freedom Fighter Tactical

Hey folks, Todd at Freedom Fighter Tactical here. In this video, I want to quickly talk about the Limbsaver Buttpad part number 10403 for the Benelli M4 and M1014 shotgun platform.

This Limbsaver recoil pad is designed to fit both the iconic Benelli 70085 collapsible stock and the newer 70132 stock design. For years, I referred to the 70132 as the “European stock” because historically it was mostly seen overseas. In the United States, it primarily appeared on platforms like the Benelli SuperNova and possibly the M3. More recently, Benelli has started using that stock design on newer Benelli M4 variants and other shotgun models.

The traditional 70085 stock is still the iconic Benelli M4 stock that most enthusiasts recognize immediately, but the Limbsaver 10403 works beautifully on both designs.

One important difference involves the mounting hardware. The 70085 stock uses a specific screw setup, while the 70132 stock uses screws that thread directly into the polymer stock body, similar to traditional wood screws commonly found on Benelli polymer stocks.

I still need to add a dedicated hardware option for the 70132 stock on the Freedom Fighter Tactical website, but in the meantime, if you order a Limbsaver for the 70132 stock, simply send me a text or email with your order number and let me know which stock you are using. I will make sure you receive the proper hardware for installation.

This is extremely important because once you install screws into a Limbsaver or factory Benelli buttpad, removal can become very difficult without damaging the recoil pad itself. In many cases, removing the screws from a factory Benelli buttpad simply is not realistic without causing damage.

The Limbsaver material is softer and more forgiving than the factory Benelli buttpad, but I still would not recommend repeatedly removing and reinstalling screws once mounted.

Another great thing about the Limbsaver 10403 is that it works on virtually all Benelli polymer stocks, including field stocks, pistol grip stocks, and collapsible stock configurations.

In my opinion, the Limbsaver is one of the most essential upgrades for any respectable Benelli M4 build. Benelli absolutely makes the best combat shotgun platform on the planet, but that does not mean every factory component is necessarily perfect.

The original Benelli recoil pad works fine, but compared side-by-side with the Limbsaver, it feels outdated. The factory pad is essentially a solid rubber block, whereas the Limbsaver dramatically improves recoil absorption and overall shooting comfort.

For many years, the factory Benelli buttpad was the only real option available, and nobody thought much about it. But once the Limbsaver entered the market, it completely changed expectations for recoil management on tactical shotguns like the Benelli M4.

That is why I consider the Limbsaver 10403 to be one of the best upgrades available for Benelli M4 owners who want improved comfort, recoil reduction, and a better overall shooting experience.

Thanks again for watching, folks. I hope you have a great week, and I will see you in the next video.
