Installation Instructions for the FFT Flashlight Mount with QD Swivel

Thank you for purchasing the FFT Flashlight Mount with QD Swivel, 1913 Rail, and Scout Pro Attachment.

This item comes with the following:

  • Either a Left or a Right variant that includes a QD Swivel and an Attachment Platform
  • 1913 Rail Attachment
  • Scout Pro Interface Attachment
  • Six Screws of Varying Length

Tools necessary to perform this installation:

  • 9/64'' Hex Wrench
  • Snap Ring Pliers
  • Locktite

One of the great things about this mount is that it need not be removed from your shotgun when breaking the gun down for routine maintenance and cleaning.

WARNING:  Be sure to check and double check to ensure that your shotgun is unloaded and that there is no ammunition in the firearm whatsoever, in your work space, or anywhere around the task at hand.

Steps to install:

  1. Choose whether you are installing the 1913 Rail or the Scout Pro Attachment.  Check compatibility (fit) before starting the job to save time should there be a compatibility issue with your desired mounting accessories.
  2. There are two halves of the mount itself - the QD half (lower half) and the Attachment Platform half (upper half).  Proper installation of the upper half will render the longer portion of the Attachment Platform to point towards the operator, and the shorter half towards the barrel.  You can install it in the opposite (where the QD Attachment and the Flashlight Mounting Platform are on opposite sides, but that would not be the optimal installation.
  3. Install your 1913 Rail or the Scout Pro Attachment as desired using the mid-length cap screws.  Your hex wrench is used for this operation.
  4. Use your hex wrench to loosen and remove the cap screws from inside the mount.
  5. Double-check to ensure you are unloaded.  Remove all ammunition from the area.
  6. Disassemble firearm to remove barrel assembly.
  7. Remove the snap ring and original Benelli M4 OEM sling attachment.
  8. The upper half of the light mount fits into the underside of the barrel and against the barrel lug.
  9. Fit the lower half of the mount to where the QD is pointing rearward, towards the operator.
  10. Align both halves and install the cap screws.  Do not tighten too much and pay attention to how the screws are driving into the threads to ensure you do not strip the threading.  We install these screws before shipment and no unit leaves our hands with stripped threads.
  11. Tighten the screws gently and evenly to ensure proper fit, and to ensure both halves are closing in equilibrium and to ensure that a gap is not evident on either side.
  12. Install light on rail or on your Pro Attachment.
  13. Ensure that the light mount is securely attached to the barrel and magazine lug.
  14. Reassemble firearm and test operation of the firearm and the mount with flashlight.

We hope you enjoy your new FFT Flashlight Mount.  Please reach out to us for any assistance.
