Last forend update prior to release…2/3/11
Ok, January was a peculiar month because of the holidays and then the SHOT Show, and production on the forend was delayed. We were not happy about that, especially since we added the listing to our new website thinking we were about a week or maybe two away from completion.
The Freedom Fighter Tactical 922(r) Compliant Forend has been refined and tested, refined and tested, and today we signed off on the project. Production begins towards the middle of next week and we should expect our listing to go from out of stock to in stock by Valentine’s Day. Aside from some sort of unforeseeable snag, this is just about guaranteed, as there is nothing left for us to do except for us to run the machine.
We appreciate all of the interest in the forend, and we appreciate your patience. We think the part is an awesome addition to our lineup, and we are excited to offer it to you.
And the price will be $49.95. We really had to toil with the price of this, and the costs of production really warranted a higher price point, but we wanted to be in under $50 at all costs…and that we achieved.
If you have requested an email notification for this product, sit back and relax, you’ll be notified and you’ll have one very soon. If you would like to be on the list, please let us know and we’ll gladly add you to it.
And before anyone asks, as much as we would like to do preorders, we much prefer waiting until we have a finished part in our hand that we can ship the next day before accepting any payments. Like you, we are into our guns, and we’ve always felt like there was nothing worse than having to wait for something you paid for, so we make every effort to conduct our business the way we want others to conduct their businesses when we buy from them.
Oh, one other thing. Many of you have asked if there would be a Desert Sand option. We are working on that already, and while the Desert Sand option will not be available within a week or so, it may be available by the end of February, if all goes well. And it will not be a one-tone color…it will be camo to match the Desert Sand M4.
Thanks again,
The FFT Guys
