After over a year of R&D, FFT finally has finished the work on our premium trigger components. We’ve got new triggers, new hammers, and new disconnectors. All are a big step above the OEM counterpart. Not only does the M4 operator have more choices to achieve 922(r) compliance, the operator will feel the difference between the FFT premium trigger components and the OEM counterparts. Indeed, the parts are a substantial upgrade over the OEM, whether your gun is already in 922(r) compliance or not. Details and pictures coming soon…

Okay, we’ve heard you loud and clear: The Freedom Fighter Tactical 5-round Titanium magazine tubes are desired for the Benelli M4 shotgun. We just acquired our inventory of these tubes, and they are beautiful. At this time, we only have available for immediate shipment the “brilliant” version of these tubes. The majority of this first batch of magazine tubes are at the finisher, and we anticipate them shipping in about two weeks from today.

As is the case with the Mesa Tactical inventory we just acquired, these tubes are not yet available on our website, but will be soon. However, we can take your order right now over the phone, and ship immediately (aside from the small wait on the “finished” version).

These tubes will be priced at $229.99, and will include a complimentary Wolff premium spring.

Of course, these tubes are preferred if building an SBS shotgun, or if you happen to live in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey, or New York, where the legality of the 7 round tube is either prohibited or very questionable. FFT offers this tube specifically for those shotgunners in states where higher capacity is prohibited to have an option to reduce the weight of their current 5-round magazine tubes by half, increase corrosion resistance, and overall, build a better and more desirable shotgun.

Also, to be certain everyone understands, the use of this tube on a stock Benelli M4 shotgun does not create a 922(r) situation.

Thank you for considering Freedom Fighter Tactical for your Benelli M4 needs.

The FFT Guys

We’ve been fielding phone calls ever since Mesa Tactical’s press release regarding the Mesa Tactical Urbino / Freedom Fighter Tactical forend bundles in the Coyote version for the Benelli M4 tactical shotgun, and we greatly appreciate your interest and eagerness.

We anticipate taking orders as early as next week, just as soon as FFT and Mesa Tactical work out a few last minute details.

Because of the release of this product, FFT will be stocking select Mesa Tactical products on a permanent basis. We anticipate carrying both the Black Urbino and the Coyote Urbino in all versions – with the standard buttpad in both the standard version without the cheek riser and with the cheek riser, and with the Limbsaver buttpad in both the standard version and cheek riser version. We also anticipate offering the Sureshell carriers that attach to the Urbino stocks. Again, we are working out the final details on this project.

As stated above, we hope to begin taking orders on the bundles and all parts as early as next week, and we’ll announce it here on the blog once we can take orders.

The products may not be on our website for a couple of weeks, as we have to photograph everything and update the site. But we will be taking orders over the telephone for those who would rather not wait for the website to be upgraded.

Thanks again for your continued interest and support. We are very pleased to be working with Mesa Tactical on this offering, and look forward to assisting you with your orders.

Best Regards,

Mesa Tactical Announces Urbino Tactical Stock and Forend bundle for Benelli M4.

June 15 2011, Costa Mesa, CA – Mesa Tactical, provider of high quality tactical accessories and gear to law enforcement, the military and civilian shooters, has teamed with local supplier Freedom Fighter Tactical to bundle their US-made forends with Mesa Tactical’s Urbino Tactical stock for the Benelli M4 semi-automatic shotgun. This new product bundle will allow Benelli M4 owners to customize their shotguns with coyote-colored stock and forend “furniture.”

“The recent availability of Freedom Fighter’s forends allows us to offer complete Benelli M4 stock furniture sets in different colors,” said Mitch Barrie, President of Mesa Tactical. “This gives us an opportunity to more fully serve the burgeoning community of Benelli M4 operators with quality shotgun furniture options.”

“The furniture sets look great, they are great improvement over the OEM pieces regarding form and function, and they assist the Benelli M4 enthusiast in achieving US Code Title 18 922(r) compliance,” said Todd Bergin, President of Freedom Fighter Tactical, a Southern California based provider of premium Benelli M4 parts and accessories.

The first color being offered is “coyote,” a variation on the desert tan color that is increasingly popular with professional and hobbyist operators of the AR-15, FN SCAR and other rifles. Both companies plan to introduce other military color combinations in the future.

Injection-molded in glass-filled nylon, the Urbino Tactical stock features a “tactical”121⁄2 inch length of pull (LoP) for enhanced weapon control, especially with body armor; optional field- adjustable cheek riser to provide improved cheek weld when used with optics; optional Limbsaver® butt pad for greater shooting comfort, especially during long training or certification courses; shock-absorbing rubber grip sleeve to reduce shooter fatigue; and a variety of standard and proprietary sling mounting options.

Urbino Tactical Stock and Forend for Benelli M4 bundles are available immediately, with retail pricing from $165.00 to $220.00 depending on cheek riser and buttpad options. Like the Urbino Tactical stock, Freedom Fighter’s forends are made in the USA and can contribute to the domestic parts count for US Code Title 18 922(r) compliance.

That’s the news, today. The Freedom Fighter Tactical 922(r) Compliant Forends are in stock and ready to ship. Any orders placed at this point will start shipping right away.

The final product is absolutely beautiful, and was well worth the wait and the production delays.

In fact, the production delays have been quite painful to us, as we prefer to not make mention of our latest product line additions until they are ready, so having customers knowing the product was due any day and having delay after delay was something we really did not like to have happen to us.

In any event, we think our customers will be pleased with the final product to help them achieve their 922(r) compliant needs.

Oh, we weighed the forend a month or so ago, and it was the same as the factory forend weight. There was no weight loss, but there was also no weight gain. We will provide the weight on the product page at a later date – we literally just picked up our initial limited shipment today, and this is being typed on a laptop at a restaurant – away from our product notes.

Please order on the website if you are placing your order on 2/22, as we are away from the office and cannot process a credit card. Calls are forwarded to us, but we are unable to take the order.

We thank all of our customers, past, present, and future, for your patience and understanding in waiting for this part.

Best Regards,

The FFT Guys

Please – do not call to inquire about when the forend will be ready. We have posted the latest developments on the blog and that hasn’t changed – we are still looking at them being ready this week or next.

Also, for most inquiries, the best way to reach us is by email. We are hard at work on new Benelli M4 parts and accessories, and while we love to talk shop, we believe the best form of communication for your general inquiries is by email. But we are here for you to answer your specific questions, handle orders, and the like.

Thank you for your understanding.

Ok, January was a peculiar month because of the holidays and then the SHOT Show, and production on the forend was delayed. We were not happy about that, especially since we added the listing to our new website thinking we were about a week or maybe two away from completion.

The Freedom Fighter Tactical 922(r) Compliant Forend has been refined and tested, refined and tested, and today we signed off on the project. Production begins towards the middle of next week and we should expect our listing to go from out of stock to in stock by Valentine’s Day. Aside from some sort of unforeseeable snag, this is just about guaranteed, as there is nothing left for us to do except for us to run the machine.

We appreciate all of the interest in the forend, and we appreciate your patience. We think the part is an awesome addition to our lineup, and we are excited to offer it to you.

And the price will be $49.95. We really had to toil with the price of this, and the costs of production really warranted a higher price point, but we wanted to be in under $50 at all costs…and that we achieved.

If you have requested an email notification for this product, sit back and relax, you’ll be notified and you’ll have one very soon. If you would like to be on the list, please let us know and we’ll gladly add you to it.

And before anyone asks, as much as we would like to do preorders, we much prefer waiting until we have a finished part in our hand that we can ship the next day before accepting any payments. Like you, we are into our guns, and we’ve always felt like there was nothing worse than having to wait for something you paid for, so we make every effort to conduct our business the way we want others to conduct their businesses when we buy from them.

Oh, one other thing. Many of you have asked if there would be a Desert Sand option. We are working on that already, and while the Desert Sand option will not be available within a week or so, it may be available by the end of February, if all goes well. And it will not be a one-tone color…it will be camo to match the Desert Sand M4.

Thanks again,

Well, we are back from SHOT and trying to get things back in order, and of significant importance is the completion of our 922(r) compliant forend. During the month of December, we had some unexpected events at the shop that we had to contend with that ultimately threw off our release date from just before Christmas, to just after the New Year, and then into early February.

The latest information regarding this part is that it is still “due any day,” and it is. All finishing touches have been applied and we are testing the process one last time before running our initial batch. It should come as no surprise that, despite the ability to mimic another part, there is a substantial amount of work in refining a part such as the forend.

At this point, it is not unreasonable for us to believe that the part will be available for sale by mid-February, and most likely even sooner.

For those of you who have been waiting, please accept our sincerest apologies. If we had our way, it wouldn’t even be listed on our site and word of its release would still be held close to the vest. We prefer to not bait the customer and keep them waiting and wondering.

The only reason the info was released was because when we revamped the site, it appeared that the forend would be released in just a few days. Well, New Years got in the way, then SHOT, etc.

In any event, the part is coming along nicely and it will be available for purchase as soon as we have the lot in hand. We are keeping an interest list, so if you would like an email when the part is ready, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Thank you for your patience.

Here is a picture we took of the first batch of forends that came out. For fun, we tested the first run with a high grade glass-filled nylon. We are not going to use this material in our final run for various reasons, but we thought we’d share the picture anyway. The flash really brings out the texture and coloring of the material, making the forends look like they are a cloudy-yellow color. That’s just the flash, but they do have a cloudy-dark grey/black coloring. Note that the barrel even takes on a gold or yellow hue. But again, we are not using this material, we just sampled it for consideration.

Just in case you were wondering why the Benelli used in this picture does not have magazine modifications, or any other modifications – this is one of our stock guns for R & D purposes – we don’t play with this one in the field…
